VooPoo Dragbar Z700 SE Disposable Vapes Product Review

I was really excited to try out the Dragbar. The packaging definitely piqued my interest. Firstly, they come in a twin pack, in a box that seemed impossibly thin. Each device is pre-filled with the fairly standard, 2ml of liquid/20mg nic salt. However, seeing that the battery capacity was only 380mAh, I was honestly a little bit sceptical of the estimated 700 puffs per bar. A full 100 more than most other vapes in the same price range.

What really got my interest though, was seeing that the Dragbar uses new ceramic coil technology, so I couldn’t wait to see how they compared to the run of the mill mesh coil vapes, and whether I’d be able to notice any difference at all.


My first thoughts on removing the packaging was how slim and lightweight it was. I have to say, I thought it looked pretty cool. The colour coordinated, clear mouthpiece, allowing you to see the juice level was a very nice touch as well as a useful feature. When you take a puff, the battery indicator light (also colour coordinated!) glows gently from inside the device. It’s all very slick and stylish indeed.

The flavour I chose to try first was Pineapple Ice, and straight away I was impressed with how spot on and authentic the flavour was. Really fruity, but not too sweet. The ‘Ice’ flavour was just enough to prevent the fruitiness from becoming overwhelming and sickly as you vape, but unlike a lot of Ice flavours, it stayed consistently in the background and didn’t start gradually taking over the fruit flavour at any point.

The other thing I noticed straight away, was just how smooth the draw was. Silky smooth. So much that at first I was worried that it wasn’t going to give enough of a throat hit to keep my cravings satisfied, but once I had gotten a little more used to it, it was enough to keep me happy, and I didnt feel the need to reach for a substitute/supplement vape at any point.

Much to my amazement, I’m pretty sure the battery life lived up to the 700 puffs per bar claim, or at least not far off! Also being able to see the liquid level gives you a fair idea of how much life is left in each bar, something I always appreciate.

As an ex-smoker, the thought of my only nicotine source suddenly and unexpectedly dying at the worst possible moment fills me with anxiety. Being able to glance at it and take an educated guess that it will last for at least ‘x’ more hours, is a really valuable feature for me.

I am really impressed with the Dragbar, I think I will definitely be using these vapes again. They might not be my top recommendation to someone who is JUST making the transition from tobacco perhaps, only because they don’t have that slightly restricted air flow that replicates drawing on a cigarette the way an elf bar, for example, does, and that can be really helpful when you first make the switch. But if you’re already a few months into your smoke free journey, or already a regular vaper, then I highly recommend the Voopoo Dragbar. Easily one of the best disposable vapes I’ve tried!

Having already tried two other flavours, when asked to review some new flavours in the Dragbar Z700 SE disposable vapes from Voopoo, I was keen to try more.

The range is sold with two units per pack and there are lots of interesting flavours to choose from.

Each unit has a 380mAh battery and 2ml of e-liquid delivered via a ceramic coil. The device can give you up to 700 puffs which means that in the twin pack you get up to 1400 puffs.

My overall opinion of the Voopoo Dragbar is that it is a good device. When you use a disposable vape the most important thing must be the flavour and the draw, and in this respect the units give a great experience. With so many different designs out there it will always come down to personal taste, but with the slim design, twin packs and 700 puffs per device you ARE getting convenience here.

For the Voopoo Dragbars, having two vapes in one box is an instant win! They may cost £9 - 10 per box, but as there are two, you save on all the wasted packaging you normally get when buying more than one vape.

The packaging itself is quite minimal, with the brand name, flavour, and an indication that it's a twin pack clearly marked, so you can see that you should be able to obtain 1400 puffs from a pack. The pack also states that the devices use a Gene Tree ceramic coil (which didn't mean much to me), but after doing some research on Google, I found this type of coil allows for a better experience with improved flavour and performance. It is an innovation made by Voopoo themselves, and is actually quite impressive.

The vapes themselves look great. They're slim and sleek and easily fit in your hand or pocket. Both are encased in their own plastic wrappers, so you don't have to worry about opening one and the other one losing its flavour because it is still sealed in a wrapper.

For the construction, they've used a bright plastic section for the bottom part where the "Drag Bar" logo is printed, with "Zoopoo" written underneath that. Then, at the top, they used a see-through plastic material where you can see the e-liquid, and shown in small print, it has the flavour printed with the percentage of nicotine.

This is a fantastic idea as you can see how much of the flavour is left. The contrasting colours indicating the device's flavour are also aesthetically pleasing.

To conclude, I would say that the Drag Bars have great potential. Their flavours are definitely some of the best I've tasted. I would go as far as saying their flavours are probably better than the SKE Crystal bar flavours. However, the battery life, performance, and build let them down. They can definitely improve the mouthpiece and also the battery or coil which led me to drop points from my scores. I hope to see the improvements and try them again in future.
